the Seventh-Annual MUNOS Summit Secretariat

The Seventh-Annual MUNOS Summit is sponsored by:

Applicants accepted to the MUNOS Summit 2012 Secretariat will engage in organizing the conference until and during the event date in August. Information for application is specified in the following:

Responsibilities

- Work together with other Student Officers in organizing and advertising the conference with full commitment
- Represent the conference at your university and other joining communities to attract prospective delegates
- Constantly attend official Secretariat meetings which will be held 3-4 times per month and actively participate in unofficial gatherings
- Serve as presiding officers during the conference on mid-August
- Be responsive to irregular online communication and meetings
- Attend pre-conference orientations with adequate preparation and produce research papers for delegate education

Qualifications

- Excellent command of both written and spoken English
- Advanced knowledge of the United Nations and current issues of international affairs
- Experience in managerial position
- Currently enrolled in university or scheduled to enroll in 2012
- Previous experience in Model United Nations conferences and other relevant debate/mock trial/leadership programs
